A photo speaks more than a thousand words and a shot well captured is worth valuing. So I was going through some model poses in different environments and a few of them caught my attention. Take a look below:
Remember Laura from Top Model? This photo was taken in Hawaii in an attempt to celebrate the local culture. Though there was quite a debate on the photo shoot; not everyone took this imitation of culture positively but it still remains a shot to adore. Notice the nice blend between Laura's skin tone and the environment around.
The one reason that makes the photograph amazing is the model. She is such a kid but she still managed to pull out such an innocent mature pose. definitely one to watch out for.
This is quite creepy, but the story is quite obvious from just one look at the photo. This is still another one from America's Next Top Model. They really brought out the vampire theme well.
I think the most amazing thing in this one is the color scheme and the environment. Simple pose but great shot. The photographer brought it out quite well.
Black and white but still lovable. I can't quite tell which bit of this photograph is coolest but I think its one of a kind, despite its simplicity.

Five Best Dressed Celebrities At 2013 MTV VMA'S -Unique outfits!
At the VMA's which took place on Sunday 25th 2013, dressing had to be on the limelight and many celebrities made the red carpet glow. Different brand names were spotted on the red carpet but only the best designs are worth sharing. Amongst celebrities who attended the VMA awards were Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga,One Direction and many others. Take a look at the best dressed celebrities during the MTV awards:
Holland Roden In Naeem Khan
I was totally breath taken when I saw someone dare to get this outfit designed by Naeem Khan. I thought it broke all the dinner dress monotony that sometimes happens on red carpets. Ball skirts and cigarrete pants do actually look amazing together and so is the whole outfit and the personality in it. Amazing!
Jennifer Hudson In Christian Dior, at MTV awards 2013
Another sweet surprise on the red carpet was Jennifer Hudson's top and skirt by Christian Dior. The leather skirt with a side bustle went well with the bustier top. Great for her body and not a so common look to spot on celebrities.
Ariana Grande in a Kenley Collins dress
Remember Kenley Collins from Project Runway? This dress is one of his products. Ariana looked totally cute and simple. What caught my attention was the floral design on the fabric and the way her slim body fit so well in this. It's an all time dress- no season or event is too much for this.
Katy Perry in Emanuel Ungaro leopard print gown
This is not the first time that this leopard print dress by Ungaro has been spotted on a celebrity but I just loved it on Katy Perry. She kept it simple with a pony tail and little jewellery and unlike the one worn by Coco Rocha sometimes back, hers is short.
I have to admit I was very attracted to the embellishments on the gown
(dragonfly and flower embellishments). In case you didn't notice, Katy
went a step further to accessorize her teeth with jeweled grillz that spelt the word "Roar"- her new single.
Lady Gaga in Prabal Gurung
Lady Gaga is known for her rather unique choice of clothes; sometimes outrageous, a few times just on point like the one above. I have to take a bow for Prabal Gurung, the Nepalese American fashion designer who made Gaga look this simple and composed. I love the dress and to some point I think the all black look on Gaga is really a charm in its own way. I think this dress in other colors like red and blue will look amazing too.

How To Dress A Newborn Baby-Must Have Outfits
Newborn babies are very fragile and sensitive to their needs. Therefore it follows that you have to have equal sensitivity so that you will be able to recognize the needs of the child and attend to them. After proper feeding, dressing comes second on the list of needs that must be fulfilled for your baby. What you pick for your baby to wear and at what place and time are quite tricky and sometimes we get it all wrong; no wonder they won't stop crying even after proper feeding. Good news is: I have the guidelines on how you should dress a newborn baby for a more comfortable day with them. Check the tips below:
- To know how many layers of clothes your child should be in during certain weather, check the layers you are wearing then add one more to your baby; if you wear two sweaters, your newborn baby should have three. You could also supplement the extra sweater with a baby showl or blanket.
- Always check for a sweaty neck or signs of discomfort so that your baby is not overdressed. Overheating because of too much dressing is not only a discomfort but also a health risk to your baby.
- Coveralls for babies are always easier to dress newborns in. Sometimes getting small fitting baby clothes is difficult but when you have a good number of coveralls you only need to worry about inner wear like vests, and pants. Moreover, baby coveralls are usually warmer and they allow your baby to wave their little hands and feet in the air without the discomfort of three sweaters and a blanket. You might have also noticed how much easier it is to carry a baby in coveralls on your hands.Make sure to dress them with enough layers of clothe under the coveralls.
- During a hot sunny day, you can take your baby out in light clothes but make sure their delicate skin is not in direct contact with the sun rays. A hat for them or an umbrella will provide enough shade for comfort. Sunscreen is also a good way to protect your child's skin from the sun.
- Have a wide collection of different baby clothes for different seasons and weather. Remember to have important clothes like snow suits, body suits, cotton socks, shorts, jackets and sweaters to name a few.
- Choose very light and preferably padded baby shoes. You can go for knitted baby shoes which are very warm and flexible and don't feel heavy on the child's feet.
- When carrying the baby in a carrier or sling, make sure to loosen so that the baby does not suffocate. When carrying the baby in slings made of heavy, warm fabrics, make sure not to overdress the baby or they will overheat.
- When shopping before delivery, go for unisex clothes with neutral colors such as white, orange, brown, yellow and green. When you are sure of the gender, you can buy more of pinks for girls and more blues for baby boys.
- Finally don't forget to choose cute, trendy and fitting clothes. Babies love fashion too!

Modahnik Is Top In African Inspired Fashion
Recently African clothes have started spreading out to the world especially in U.S thanks to some creative African designers. The clothesline currently hitting headlines in African clothing is Modahnik which has combined different African cultures and added some modernity to their designs; the result is fabulous.
The founder and designer of Modahnik, Kahindo Mateene is not so new to Africa. Being the daughter of a diplomat her family has travelled to different parts of Africa. Kahindo traces her roots to Congo (DRC) but she was born in Kampala, Uganda. She has also lived in Ethiopia, Uganda, Nigeria, Niger, and Kenya plus she ha travelled. That might explain why Modahnik has succeeded to satisfy a wide variety of African cultures with their designs.
I have to admit I love Kahindo's passion and I will always be one of her biggest fans. The fact that Modahnik is also featuring in great programs like Project Runway should be prove of a great work of art. Check out a few of my favorite Modahnik designs below:
(Above) African inspired with a cool color scheme. I would definitely wear this to a cocktail.
I think one of the greatest strengths Modahnik has is color. They always get it right.

Eva Mendes For Vogue Eyewear 2013
Last year Kate Moss was the eye wear ambassador for the Vogue brand and now in 2013, Vogue launched a campaign featuring Eva Mendes. The actress is really doing great and following in Kate Moss's footsteps. She says her favorite glasses are ones with a retro feel.
I think Vogue made a good choice; Eva Mendes has all the glamor and warmth needed for the campaign. Check out some of her photos:
According to the model, eye wear is a great accessory whether prescription glasses or sunglasses.
I think Eva Mendes and anything close to vintage on her eyes look awesome. I really love the frame-size and the clear lenses of these glasses (above)...and the face wearing them suites them too.
And behind the scenes was her photo shoot....

The Four Coolest Wedding Gowns 2013 For Four Body Types
So you are planning to have your big day some time soon? Then you are on the verge of getting the right ideas for a trendy wedding gown. You might have noticed that there is a wider variety of wedding gowns to choose from than before if you have already started your shopping. I hope you have also noticed that not every type of gown fits your body type so you have to dig a little deep for the perfect catch.
Check if you fit in any of the body types below and get a clue of what you should be looking for:
Pear Shaped body:
Ladies with pear shaped bodies usually have a wider bottom than top. If you look at your shoulder and compare them to your hips and bottom, they are smaller. When choosing a wedding gown for your pear shape, choose one that will emphasize on your smaller chest and at the same time flatter your bottom without making it stand out more than your bust. This gown below is a great match for your body because of the strapless top the loose bottom.
Straight Lined body
You know you have a straight lined body shape if your shoulders, waist, and hips are almost the same size. If you have such a body, take advantage of gowns that make you appear curvy and that will insist on your waistline. A design like the one below will make your hips and bust appear bigger thus emphasizing on your waistline. And look just how stylish that is. If you have a good tailor you can have one custom made with the exact measurements.

Hourglass body
Hourglass bodies usually have a well defined bust and bottom and a small waist. It is already curvy and needs no emphasis on either the bust or hips. Take advantage of your hourglass body to show off your curves by choosing a closely fitting wedding dress that flows with the shape of your body.
Skinny body
Skinny people have to wear gowns that add a little weight to them. You are advised to choose fabrics that are not so light or too heavy. your gown should as much as possible increase you and hide your skinny body. A gown that is flowing from below your bust will be very suitable. Avoid anything tight. Maybe you should try our suggestion below;

Five Affordable Designer Shoes You Can Get Online
Designer shoes are expensive in most cases and you may not always afford to wear the latest unless you are in a certain social class. But that doesn't exclude you from going designer or wearing awesome shoes. More over, shopping for designer shoes online is easy and time saving and in some cases may be cheap if you are buying a shoe from a designer who is not located in your home area.
Though there are some very popular shoe brands, I tend to believe that the shoe matters first then the fame follows. In any case,a good affordable shoe will always build the brand.Take a look below and see if you will shop online for affordable designer shoes:

Leopard Spot ankle boot by Christian Louboutin
Something about leopard spots- they never go out of trend. This shoes is guaranteed to give you service (am not sugar coating because I have heard testimonies). The platform design and the heel are very well suited to walk around in. plus the color is bright and goes with many outfits.
Honestly, you would be blind not to notice the color and glamor in this shoe. If you have worn Nike shoes, whether sports shoes or any other, then you can already imagine the comfort in this pair. I commend Nike for this creative work and would recommend that you try it.
Gucci Cute flat shoes
So you love big brand names? Then you can get this affordable flat shoe by Gucci. It's even cheaper than the ones above. This is a multipurpose shoe; it has an almost neutral color scheme and a design that can fit on both formal and informal events. For that day you plan to walk around without having to struggle in heels, look for this pair.
Fashion shoes colorful wedge
Four colors have been blended so well in this wedge, you just fall in love already. The material is quality and the design is outstanding. If color blocking is your style then you should try this out with blue, or pink clothes. Other bright colors can also work if worn well. The price is really affordable considering the quality of the shoe.
Vintage lace high heels
This grey shoe is modern vintage with a cool design. You don't need to be told about its quality- it's evident. My favorite part about these shoes is the heel and the laced front. The fact that they can be worn to office and on casual occasions is a plus for them. They are also available in black color.

Modern Man- Five Coolest Types Of Men Bags You can Carry
If you are a man who moves around a lot you might have noticed just how necessary a bag is. Unfortunately most men opt for a school bag or a briefcase when you have the option of picking from a wide variety of men bags that will suite the task.Fortunately I have some advice for you so that next time you travel, you will get a bag that compliments the man in you.
There are many types of men bags and handbags. However, the modern man will only want a bag that goes with trend and that will absolutely cause him no embarrassment. If you are shopping for men bags, borrow from the suggestions below:
Camera Bag:
It is a small bag that can hold your cell phone, camera and a few accessories of a small size. The bag which is designed to hang on your shoulders is slightly smaller that the normal shoulder bag and usually adopts the shape of a long rectangle. Camera bags are very masculine and add style to bot official and casual outfits.
A messenger bag has an adjustable strap for carrying over there shoulder. The bag is bigger than a camera bag and is very popular among college men. Depending on the design and fabric, messenger bags can also be used to the office. Leather messenger bags are more official and classy. If you need to carry some paper work home without looking so serious; get a messenger bag for convenience.
Briefcase
It's the most popular men bag because it has been used for along time and many people associate it with masculinity. A suitcase is distinct because it has a handle instead of a strap. You can always organize your paper work or important documents in a briefcase and be assured to find them intact the next time you open it.Students and working men are most suited for suitcases but any official event will definitely be okay to carry a briefcase.
Holdall/ carryall
A holdall men's bag is big enough to carry necessities that you may need for a three day trip. It is mostly leather and very classic if you are a light traveler. Holdall bags usually have two handles to carry it around although some can have 0ne long strap to carry around the shoulder. Any modern man should be able to move around with it because it is simple enough.
Tote
A tote bag is like a slimmer and smaller version of a holdall bag. It has soft rounded edges just like a holdall and its much more modern than a suitcases. Totes can be used to carry larger valuables or books if you are a student. They can also be used as accessories to enhance your looks when you are moving around. Some tote bags also have compartments for easier storage of things.

I Love The Uniqueness In African Fabrics
I think the most creative fabric work I have come across recently is from Africa not just because of the African patterns on the fabrics but also because of the color blending involved."Kikoi" and 'kitenge' fabrics are among the most popular and the most beautiful. It is easy to come up with amazing designs from these fabrics if you just put you imagination at work.
Am glad that African clothes are slowly gaining access to other parts of the world but I still hope that we will not ruin the fabrics with not so good designing.
I love picking out my favorites; Here is what I got for you:
Solange Knowles got it right with African attire:

Something about 'kangas'.....
Kangas can be turned into almost anything- skirt, dress, shorts, top or trousers. They are among the cheapest and easiest african fabrics to work with.

Best Haircuts 2013- Ladies
Trends in haircuts keep changing and a lot of times old cuts are brought back to life. This round there is more development in hairstyles than ever before as people are becoming more daring with changing times. There are however some hairdos that you just can't avoid falling in love with: simple, elegant and up to date; Take a look:
Short, bumpy and highlighted
This cut is sexy but simple enough. The highlights add to the bulk of the hair and the edges are shaped just right. A hair stylist should be able to style you this one according to the shape of your face.
Do you love your long hair?
Even on long hair, highlights do wonders. A little curl adds some bulk while clean up and proper oiling gives your hair a glow.
You might think of plaiting
Braids can do wonders even when you don't have long hair. You can get away with your short hair by braiding it this way. Plaited hair is also easier to maintain if you are a busy lady.
There is power in color
When it comes to color, you are only advised to choose colors that compliment your skin. Warm toned people should go for warm colors such as brown red or maroon e.t.c while cool toned look better in cool shades such as blue, dark brown or purple. You don't have to have too bright hair, if you are conservative then the right shades of brown will do you great.
You can play fierce like Rihanna
I love this haircut for its uniqueness and creativity. It's not like your regular Mohawk and it is bulky enough. If you love short hair, this would do well for you.
Or if you love to be edgy
This edgy look can be achieved by making asymmetrical cuts on your hair. The shape of the haircut will depend on your face shape. If you choose to add color, you will be enhancing the look and emphasizing the style. Other than this, there are other ways of having edgy hair as well.
